So far, all of my stories feature the Ninth Doctor, traveling alone. I'm working on some with Rose and some with other incarnations of the Doctor, but they're a long way off. It's easiest to finish these, because the Ninth is my favorite.
The Doctor awakens to discover that the Time War is over, and he is the only survivor. Weakened by regeneration and numb with loss, he steps into the world to which the Tardis has brought him, and danger follows. But before he can fight it, he must face his own feelings and learn to interact with humans again. Unicorns, lake monsters, vampires, werewolves, winged horses... and of course, a Time Lord.
Chance brings the Doctor back to an old friend, many years later. But will either of them find what they expect?Traveling more or less at random, the Doctor finds himself on a planet where jails double as brothels, with inmates forced to work.
Although this story occurs just before Mythical Creatures, I had to list it after. For one thing, I finished Mythical Creatures first. But more importantly, there are certain concepts I show in a positive light there, and a (mostly) negative one here. I could not taint that story with the memory of this one, even though that’s how it is for the Doctor.
